To celebrate the U.S. launch of Red Bull Special Editions, Red Bull executed a sychronized, nation-wide effort to bring wings to campus students on April 15th. Students awoke from their dorms to find crates of new product waiting for them around busy campus areas.
The website built up buzz before the event by individually confirming the campuses that would participate. Once the event went live, we published tweets and instagram photos from students across the nation as they discovered the air-dropped crates. To satiate those stuck in the classroom, we prepared special, lightweight streaming equipment and cameras for 10 campuses to broadcast live video feeds as the excitement unfolded.
